Physical Education

The main objectives of the Physical Education Program at Chairville School are to help children develop positive attitudes towards personal health and learn how to become a contributing factor when belonging to a larger group.

Age-appropriate games and activities provide the means to develop motor skills, fitness, an appreciation of recreation, and good sportsmanship. Personal effort and self-improvement are key factors strongly emphasized to all students. The New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards provide the basis for the activities that follow a natural progression of skill and knowledge development from kindergarten through fifth grade. All students, no matter where they place on the continuum of growth, are provided with individual attention and direction.

It is our hope that the concepts learned at this time remain as important building blocks for a safe, healthy, and happy lifestyle.
